2010: The Return of the Goddess

My thoughts and rants have become increasingly pseudo-feminist. I never do anything the regular way so, my thinking on this topic is no different. This brand of “feminism” (I’m scared to even use that word) is NOT one where women seek to be some ego-driven equal to men. This is a feminism where women seek to balance the excessive masculine energy in our environment. I’d rather call it “feminine-ism”.

Several of my girlfriends are pregnant or have recently given birth. This process has enlightened them, and myself, to the idea that ALL we have to offer as women is sacred and comes at a high cost. As we recognize the value of our love, bodies, minds, gifts and talents; what we expect and attract from the universe will change. We all have procrastinated endlessly on projects we were inspired to pursue. We have latent gifts and talents that are waiting for us to tap into them. We all have similar stories of men who can’t seem to get it together: non-committal, emotionally unavailable and so on and so forth. However, we have decided that it is us women who need to change. We set the curve.

We find solace in some aspects of traditional gender roles. Not the ones that have to do with  a woman “knowing her place”, which for all intents and purposes is a place subservient to men. But, the ones that have to do with creating the emotional tone of a relationship and family; being a spiritual vessel through which anyone we contact is encouraged to connect to and commune with The Creative Source; physically manifesting (in some way, shape or form) all of the creative energy that passes through us. When we eagerly pursue these things, we are inspired, we inspire others, and we attract the same.

This all hinges on wholehearted pursuit of our creative endeavors and passion. And what follows is a lifestyle where we channel all of our energy into spiritually beneficial relationships and those passions and projects that beckon us.

The part I’m looking forward to is the spontaneous rituals which will be created surrounding our challenges, growth and celebrations.

When we accept our receptive nature and men accept their projecting nature, we finally do what we were created to do. What is that, you ask? We were created to manifest GOD on Earth. Now, think about that!
