On July 31, 2002, I attended an Amel Larrieux performance at the Navy Pier Skyline Stage in Chicago, IL. At one point in the show she invited an audience member on to the stage to sing with her. It just so happened to be me. This was one of the most beautiful things that have happened in my life. Eight years later, I still cry upon listening to this recording.
